I came to the UK from Romania 3 years ago. After finishing my degree in Informatics, I decided to join Le Wagon because I was looking for a coding bootcamp that would teach me the latest and most accurate technologies. So here I am!

I wanted to find a program that would mentor me, not just offering a curriculum. By choosing Le Wagon I knew I was not going to be alone on my learning journey, the one to one support, active community they offer and lifetime access to their learning platform encouraged me to join the course.

I realised I wanted to learn to code because I am curious by nature. You can see now that technology is all around us, it's in every industry. I'd noticed a lack of tech professionals in the field, so for me, it was just a natural step, I guess.

At first, I was not sure if the remote aspect would suit me, but the Le Wagon staff are incredibly nice and attentive to their students, by always making sure we are doing well and always ready to help us.

I feel driven every day to make the best out of this incredible experience.

Le Wagon have created an easy set up, by providing the best tools to make the remote learning experience seamless for the students, just like the table where we get to work with 3 other course friends.

To be the most efficient while working from home, I have created a nice set-up: I put my desk next to the window, with lots of 'positive vibes' stickers. This way I stay motivated throughout the day!
Cornelia's nice remote set up
We have a nice routine at Le Wagon studying remotely to make the most of the day.

We start the day with the morning lecture, then I work at the virtual table with my classmates to solve the challenges together, and at the end of the day, we have the Live Code, where everybody on the course takes on some coding challenges together, as a group. Also at the end of the day, before going to sleep I make sure I do my Flashcards to see what I need to review from the subjects of the day.

The highlight of my day is to be able to speak with my table colleagues and share thoughts about the challenges. It's keeping me motivated and it's nice to share and work with others in the cohort.

I realised that the best way to avoid feeling frustrated when being faced with the most difficult challenges was to share these with the others and to reach out to the teachers and teaching assistants, who were always very helpful! We're all in the same boat.

The teachers and teaching assistants always answer promptly and they give you the feeling to be happy to help with every question you may have during the lectures.
Le Wagon remote
Even if we are studying remotely, Le Wagon makes feel us connected to others.

They are organising video classes, where you're able to see your classmates and the teachers every day, we have video calls that make you feel more intimate and closer to the teachers.

The virtual tables are there to allow us to work together as if we were sitting around a table on the campus!

After the Bootcamp, I would like to become one of the teaching assistants at Le Wagon, or find a job in the tech field and maybe (why not!) launch my own product. Le Wagon for me is an amazing opportunity to make friends that have the same interests and that share my passion. I am feeling really inspired.

I am really happy to have decided my time to this adventure.
