Eddie Lau is a lean startup entrepreneur and pragmatic codeaholic who is passionate about web, mobile and interactive software development. He has spent over 12 years building up large scale web applications and prototyping startup products. Currently he's running his co-found software consultancy, assisting startups to plan and run their tech, and co-organizing a monthly Codeaholics meetup.
Allen knows that a strong education experience can transform your life. Since 2010, after graduating from Yale University, Allen has helped students across Asia plan and achieve their further education goals. He most recently worked with the University of California - Berkeley where he developed the Asia-Pacific recruitment strategy for their Master of Information and Data Science degree. After witnessing this powerful intersection of education and technology, Allen co-founded Le Wagon Chengdu to help students skill-up, build their ideas, and create their future. He's excited to drive Le Wagon in Chengdu, a place he's called home since 2013.
Konstantin has a M.Sc in Math and IT, and is a yogi, musician and traveler. He develops projects in wide range of technologies, and has worked in several successful Russian, Israeli and American startups, and is the cofounder of one of them. His approach - the best study is practice. In recent years he has worked as a full-stack web developer, mostly on Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. In 2016 he became a freelancer and moved to China to discover China and life in Asia. Konstantin likes to study and has collected a lot of development experience, which he now wants to share.
When he was still studying at JiaoTong university, Forrest co-founded Ele.me, the famous meal ordering services together with Jia Kang & Xuhao Zhang. Once he left this early venture, Forrest worked as Software Engineer for Microsoft, then moved on to become Product Manager at Tencent.
In 2013 he moved from the corporate world to the tech scene again and went full-time on Ruby on Rails as a developer, consultant for Chinese startups, and launched several tech businesses in Shanghai.
At Le Wagon Shanghai, Forrest is teaching entrepreneurs the fundamentals of back-end development and how to adopt a good workflow for a very fast execution.
Maria is an alumni from Yale University, an airport lounge sleeper, nacho cheese enthusiast, yoga instructor and a ninja back-end engineer! She moved to China in 2014 to explore the tech scene and is currently leading the development team at 5:IT, while sharing her thoughts on her blog and running a small supper club. Maria will guide Le Wagon students through the first steps of the Rails back-end framework, and help them build Minimal Viable Products!
Peter is a self-taught Ruby on Rails developer who is currently a digital nomad based out of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Though he studied film and worked in Hollywood for a few years, he decided to change his career path by teaching himself Ruby several years ago. He combined this learning with his interest in travel and cultures and soon found himself as a freelance developer in Vietnam. After perfecting his craft, he now manages a development team which works with clients around the world. He's a back-end expert and enjoys mentoring the next generation of people who want to change their life by learning to code!
Sergio is an alumni from Swarthmore College, who has 7 years of entrepreneurial experience in China. Since he was 18 years old until now, he has been involved the creation of 6 profitable startups ranging from music industry to education industry. He has fulfilled roles as a database architect, lead developer, and now is the CEO of a Hangzhou-based software development company. As Sergio first stepped into coding as a student at LeWagon, he is excited to give back to the community that helped him get his start by teaching students how to become expert algorithmic thinkers. He hopes to help LeWagon students develop the ability to make a backend strong enough to support an entire startup.
Steve has been programming computers since he was a kid and now works as a full-time Ruby on Rails developer while teaching and mentoring part-time at Le Wagon Chengdu. Steve is also experienced in JavaScript and React and has recently started playing around with WeChat mini-programs. At Le Wagon he teaches advanced programming concepts and mentors student projects.
Thibault est un expert du marketing digital chinois et passionné par l'innovation sur ce marché. Depuis 2010 il a été chef de projet à Shanghai, consultant en stratégie digitale pour de grandes marques opérant en Chine. Il a aussi une conviction: aujourd'hui, l'innovation est le fruit des talents croisés business + tech. Thibault a ouvert Le Wagon à Shanghai pour aider les entrepreneurs à lancer des produits incroyables!
Brian is a co-founder of Polyphasic Developers, and a JavaScript expert. He has been a developer, Adwords consultant, and security specialist for over ten years. He lives in Chengdu with his wife and daughter, but never has to go to an office since he works remotely with his team, which is distributed around the globe. At Le Wagon Chengdu he will be teaching all things JavaScript.
