Move from Jupyter Notebook to a code editor and learn how to set up a machine learning project in the right way in order to quickly and confidently iterate. Learn how to convert a machine learning model into a model with a robust and scalable pipeline with sklearn-pipeline using encoders and transformers.
Building a machine learning model from start to finish requires a lot of data preparation, experimentation, iteration, and tuning. We'll teach you how to do your feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning in order to build the best model. For this, we will leverage a library called MLflow.
Finally, we'll show you how to deploy your code and model to production. Using Google Cloud AI Platform, you'll be able to train your model at scale, package it and make it available to the world. Cherry on top, you will use a Docker environment to deploy your own RESTful Flask API which could be plugged into any front-end interface.
The final weeks of the course will culminate in the delivery of your capstone project! Working collaboratively in small teams, the project will allow you to utilise all the skills you have learned throughout the bootcamp in order to solve a real world data science problem.
Our Data Science course requires a basic level of Python & Mathematics. As we want all of our students to succeed, you'll be able to test your level and refresh your skills before the Bootcamp starts.
You'll need to be comfortable with data types & variables, conditions, loops, functions and data structures (List & Dictionary).
You'll need a High School level of Maths, meaning you will be comfortable with functions, derivatives, and systems of linear equations.
After a chat with our Admissions team, you will receive a Python & Mathematics Quiz to help you and the Admissions team better understand your current level in Python & Maths. We'll also provide you with a set of additional free learning resources to help you match the prerequisite level for the Bootcamp.
Once you have been accepted onto the Data Science Bootcamp (congrats!), you'll receive ~ 40h of online learning resources. We require all of our students to complete this before the Bootcamp starts, either at their own pace or during our Data Prep Week.
The Data Prep Week takes place the week before the official start date of the Bootcamp. This is an additional week of interactive online learning designed to help you get through this content as efficiently as possible and ensure you have the necessary foundations in Python before the bootcamp starts.

Currently, like other technology careers, there is great demand from the current job market, thus making people who graduate in these areas get jobs relatively easier and earning well.💸
There are 2 types of bootcamp: Full-time and Part-Time.
They work as follows:
Full-Time Bootcamp 👉 Lasts 9 weeks, Monday through Friday 9:00h to 7:00h
Part-Time Bootcamp 👉 Lasts 24 weeks, takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00h to 22:00h and Saturdays from 10:00h to 17:00h
Although there are exclusively remote classes, we are working with the hybrid model, that is, you choose how you want to complete the bootcamp, our methodology is not affected by this, but if you have the option to choose between remote or face-to-face
Maaaas, we consider the face-to-face model ideal for the experience to be complete. You don't want to miss our happy hours🍺, right?
For the Web Development bootcamp, you just need motivation and energy!
And for the Data Science bootcamp, you need to master basic math: functions, their derivatives, and systems of linear equations. Also, an intermediate level of English is required to understand the content 🤓
In Rio de Janeiro, both courses (Full-Time and Part-Time) are taught in English, you don't need to be 100% fluent but you need to be able to understand written and spoken English well and you have to be able to communicate in English, as our platform and exercises are in English and you may have teammates who only speak English.
In São Paulo, classes are taught in Portuguese, although sufficient English is desirable to read the material.

Yes, each student must have their own notebook with macOS, Linux or Windows operating system.
Should I buy a specific computer to take the course?
For the computer, we don't have minimum requirements, if it runs the most basic programs well, then it will probably hold up well to our development tools, you don't need to have a spaceship at home.
On the first day, we'll setup the machines to install everything you'll need during bootcamp, so don't worry!
⚠️ Tablets like Microsoft Surface or Apple iPad don't work, because they're not real computers. If you need help purchasing equipment, please contact our team.
The first step is to submit the application form, it takes a few minutes to complete.
After our contact by email, we will schedule a quick conversation via video call or even in person if you prefer. This conversation is to understand in detail your goals and motivations, shortly after the interview you will receive the answer informing you whether or not you are the newest student of Le Wagon!
After we approve your application, we will schedule a 30-minute interview to get to know you better.
The tip is: be yourself! Again, we will be looking at your motivation, but we will also be checking your team spirit. As you will often be working with other people during the course, this is a very important criterion for us. If you're highly motivated and love working with other people, you'll probably be able to move on to the next step.
In online applications, we're looking for just one thing: motivation. As our 9 week course is intense and challenging, we only want the most motivated people. Don't forget to explain why you want to join Le Wagon - the more details you give, the better your chances of being selected for the interview!
Le Wagon changes lives so it is very difficult for an already approved person to want to drop out, however we do have a waiting list when classes are full in case that happens.
To join this waitlist, you will need to go through the same application process.
We usually open classes 4-5 months in advance. You will see the upcoming dates of classes in the city you are interested in on their page or through our social networks. We recommend that you register at least 1 month before the start of the class. There's a very important selection process for you to go through!
