Sydney was already pretty far along in her first career when she realised she wasn’t on the right path. Even though she didn’t know anything about coding, she took the plunge and joined our bootcamp. Only a few months after she took this decision, her life was changed and she landed a job as a front-end developer at Conichi in the vibrant city of Berlin.
After studying a bachelor she didn’t want to pursue and working in an e-commerce business, she discovered she had a hidden interest for code. Lamina joined our coding bootcamp in sunny Barcelona, built her own amazing web app and is now joining Thoughtworks as a junior developer in Hamburg.
Laura was working as a producer in the advertisement and television industry. She was working closely with web developers and decided to learn how to code. Instead of applying these skills in her old job, she fell in love with coding so much that she landed her first job as a web developer at Alpha FX Group in London, right after she finished the bootcamp.
George always wanted to start his own business and Le Wagon was like the final step towards his dreams. After the bootcamp he founded farmandco.com.au, delivering organic veg boxes and local eggs and bread - "I'm in my 3rd week of deliveries and have 26 homes to deliver to tomorrow. I'm making more money than I did working the usual 9-5 in our farm stall!"
Maria was working in a restaurant for 4 years when she felt the need to change her career. She believed technology can make the world a better place and wanted to be part of that. Not long after the bootcamp finished, she landed a job as Ruby on Rails developer at TecnoTramit, here in sunny Barcelona.
Graduated from hospitality school in Switzerland, Luca had the chance to dig deep into the business field. However, in order to achieve his career goals, he thought that tech was the natural next step. After 9 weeks of intensive learning, Luca got his first developer job at Amenitiz, one of the startups created by our alumni in Barcelona.
I went to hotel school in Switzerland but decided running a hotel was not for me. I came to Le Wagon to challenge myself and start my next adventure. I met my co-founder Fred and together we built Amenitiz, a website builder that is exclusively dedicated to the hotel industry.
With a background in Geography/GIS and experience at San Francisco's tech companies such as Apple Maps and Cruise Automation, Lea came to Le Wagon to challenge herself and the dream to work for interesting companies around the world. After the bootcamp, Lea was hired as a FullStack Developer at inAtlas - Barcelona based Big Data & Location Analytics company.
Edu studied Entrepreneurial Management and was always passionate about the startup and digital products. He came to Le Wagon Barcelona to acquire tech skills and have the freedom to develop his own prototypes. Turned out he fell in love with coding and is now a FullStack Developer at FCM Travel Solutions.
After developing a career as an agronomist, Juandi took a sabbatical to drive his van and travel around. It was only when another red van crossed his path that he embraced coding as his next life adventure. It was the right decision at the right moment: he got his first job as a Software Developer at ThoughtWorks, one of our amazing hiring partners.
